On November 16th, Zagreb played host to the second edition of DigiDeck23, a conference dedicated to digital technologies in construction. Organized by the Centre for Digital Built Croatia, the event attracted global and local construction experts who shared insights on the use of advanced technologies and the adoption of new processes in construction projects and offices.
DigiDeck23 covered four main panels:

Mia Andrašević Vukelić, Interior Design Team Leader at 3LHD, presented a lecture on specifications and cost estimation in our office, detailing the process of creating digital specifications, the methods used to optimize cost estimates, and the use of the VOLUM3 platform.
DigiDeck23 also explored future trends in construction, covering topics such as AI technologies, modular construction, and the metaverse.
Stjepan Mikulić, BIM Lead, and AI enthusiast from Bjarke Ingels Group provided an introduction to the basics of applying AI in construction, while Junghwo Park, a Metaverse architect from Umdasch Group Ventures, presented a revolutionary virtual world for modeling, collaboration, and project tracking.
DigiDeck23 dedicated a special panel to the latest software solutions in construction developed in Croatia. Representatives from VOLUM3 Olja Gešvind, Tomislav Slišković from STAS Organizer , and Marin Curavić from IT sistemi engaged in a panel discussion on innovations and digital tools for project design and management, addressing the challenges and opportunities of digital development in the Croatian construction industry.
